I just got this handy tool for detecting if a cable or socket is live, handily enough it also works for tracing the cables around the walls in my apartment. I can now safely avoid mounting a shelf or picture into the mains. 😁

The tester comes with two AAA batteries pre-installed, so it's ready to use out of the box. There are two sensitivity options available, which can be selected by pressing the S button. This allows for better detection and measurement of voltage. The S button also doubles up as the torch on/off button, which is handy for working in dark areas.

The manual is in translated English, and there are a few minor grammatical errors or odd word choices. However, it is clear and easy to understand.
